NOTICE: Starting a ROTAX MAX engine without the clutch drum mounted will result in a permanent deformation of the centrifugal clutch weight arms as shown in the picture. This damage cannot be repaired and the clutch disc must be replaced to restore the normal operation of the centrifugal clutch. As such damages are caused by an improper centrifugal clutch maintenance/repair practice, the clutch disc replacement costs are not covered under normal manufacturer warranty.
Refer to the "Installation & Operator's Manual" that is supplied with a ROTAX MAX kart engine for the proper maintenance/repair procedure.
